We did something out of the normal routine a few weeks back. I was hired to shoot for an upcoming book on floral design. I was really excited about the shoot since it was something different for us to do. We just love everything weddings. The book is due later this year it is being written byMichelle from Heaven on Earth Floral and Design. She does an outstanding job and it was an honor for her to select us to be a part of the book. Here is just a few of the images from that shoot. Enjoy.

~Black Label~ a new visual by Jeffrey and Julia Woods

Over the past year, Julia and I have had something special in development. We have created something exclusive to offer our brides. You might of have seen it on our website or read about it in an interview done about Julia & I, by Modern Bride Magazine last year. While there is so much technology available today, Julia & I have tried to be selective in the options that we feel are the best for our clients. Also we wanted to keep our love of weddings chic and timeless. We have teamed up with one of the leading wedding cinematographer in the country that uses Super 8 film (Andy Jackson) and we have called this new venture

~ Black Label~ its a new visual that we feel creates a greater documentation of your wedding day. It tells a different story that you just cant get from still images alone. I love the whole video, and the photos look great. Everything is so romantic. .Bride looks stunning with her gorgeous hair and lovely wedding gown. Her make-up is pretty natural too. Shane + Kat

Kat & Shane

Love was definitely in the air on this brisk day in October in Galesburg as Kat & Shane exchanged their vows at their outdoor ceremony. They really put their heart and soul into every detail as they made all the alter decor, added personal touches with hand crafted wooden name cards, and got the attention of every child and adult present with an old fashion candy bar. They hired the help of Fabulous Affairs creating all the printed elements of the day.

Kat & Shane are a fun couple to hang out with. Kat's laugh, Shane's quirky personality and quick combacks (to all of Kat's remarks). We had the honor of not just being the photographers of the wedding but getting to know them in the last few months in a very special way. One of the highlights for Julia and I had to be when we let Kat's father see her for the first time. When Kat came around the corner and could not hold back the tears she had us all at hello. It was a very powerful moment one that we were privileged to be a part of. As a father of three beautiful girls I know what Mr. Mason was feeling at that moment and we hope it shows in the images.

A love for Napa

A very beautiful couple, photographed in a very beautiful place. Corrine and Chuck whose wedding we will photograph next year is one of those couples that Julia and I fell in love with. As we sat around prior to the engagement session we almost let the gorgeous sunlight slip by us. We were having such a great time talking and enjoying a great bottle of Chardonnay. Not to mention the beautiful Solage (the placed Chucked proposed to Corrine) as the backdrop of the session. So here is to a wonderful couple and to the beauty of Napa Valley!

Case + Liz

Even though the weather was not what Case and Liz had in mind as they were dreaming of their wedding day, it still goes without saying that the love can prevail even through the rain. Their love was very evident throughout the day as Julia and I took them around Peoria to find places to photograph a wonderful couple (without getting drenched). One of the stops was one of their favorite places to go and unwind. They both have a huge love for sports and we wanted that to be seen in the images. I am not sure every bride thinks, "hey can we go to Buffalo Wild Wings?" on our wedding day. However, I am sure every groom wishes his wife would say that. So, with that being said, Case your a lucky man! Not to mention, all the nice people at BWW that wanted to buy them a drink. One guy who actually did. I have known Case for most of my life as we were teamates on the basketball court. I can assure you this, Case is one of the greatest guys I have known. He always think of others before himself. I think Liz is in very good hands. We wish you both all the best in your new life together.
