It was so fun, photographing Matt & Kristen's wedding. We were so honored to hear that Kristen made her wedding photographer decision, 7 years ago after seeing the photographs we took at her sister and brother in law's wedding (Kerri & Matt Machut). We have loved getting to know Kristen and her family over the years and capturing various different moments in all of their lives. We were not surprised to learn that the man that Kristen choose to marry came with a wonderful family as well. It was beautiful to see both sets of parents spinning around the dance floor, obviously still in love after many many years of marriage, not to mention grandparents and each of the couple's married siblings doing the same. With so many good examples being set before them and an obvious love and solid foundation that Matt & Kristen have work so hard to build for themselves, we are excited to wish them a lifetime of love and many more memorable celebrations.
Matt & Kristen live in Lincoln Park and have grown in relationship in that area, so it was the perfect setting for their wedding at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Kristen and her wedding coordinator Linda Alpert from Affairs with Linda did such a fabulous job creating a Napa feel to the romantic celebration that took place under a tent at the Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forrest. From the chandeliers, tablescapes, photographs of successful marriages that proceed them, to a replica of a childhood memory of the candy store Holland Merchantile in Washington, IL where Kristen grew up, it was the perfect way for the couple to spend their day with so many friends and loved ones. We hope you enjoy the sneak peak to their day.
