What a beautiful day as Fiona, an Irish beauty married her American beau, Brian.  It was fairy tale like as the bride kept true to Irish tradition and was escorted from her home, with her father to the church, in a majestic Rolls Royce.  The ceremony was very elegant and unique as the brides side of church was adorned with hats atop the many Irish guest that traveled from Ireland for the celebration.  With fourteen attendants on each side, four ushers, and two adorable flower girls, there was plenty of fun to go around.

The night was action packed as Fiona kicked off the evening at the Drake Hotel with a special surprise for her new groom.  The Chicago Cubs Brass Quartet filled the air of the cocktail hour.  The ballroom at the Drake was breathtaking with thousands of white roses, crystal vases, and a star light backdrop atop the band.  It truly was a celebration to remember.

The best part of all was that all the beautiful details did not out shine the couples love for each other.  Brian and Fiona are perfect for each other.  We wish them all the best and a little bit of Irish luck!

Ben and Amy are one of those couple that have had both famlies waiting for this day to come. After a long engagment they finally said "I Do". Amy is one of those brides that just lights up a room with her smile and personality. Ben is one of those grooms that loves to see her smile and loves every minute with her. It's obvious to Julia and I that these two have a love that will stand the test of time.

We really appreciate a couple like Ben & Amy.  They are wise beyond their years as they understood from the start of their wedding planning that the photography is all they would have left after the wedding day was over.  It was top on their list of priorities and they planned their special day around our schedule.  That makes us feel so special.  We were so honored to capture their love.

We wish them both the best of luck in their life together in Cali and I hope when they come to visit us they will bring back some In and Out burger!

Elegance, style, and fun are the words to describe this weddings. Julia and I could tell when we first met Rachel and Nathan that this weddings was going to be special. Rachel has been dreaming of this day for a long time. I think all the hard work that they did to make this wedding special and unique, will be one to remember. It's not often that you go to a wedding with cotton candy at the reception.  However, when the Heart of Illinois Fair was the location of the couples first date, it becomes the perfect theme for a wedding celebration.  The festivities took place at the Country Club of Peoria, with the skillful work of Beth Maxwell and her team draping the event in navy & pinks, complete with Bob Monier's beautiful flower arrangements cascading from the ceiling. It truly was a beautiful celebration and we were honored to photograph it.

You may think that since Julia and I have photographed so many weddings we really don't pay attention to the sermon during the ceremony. Truth be told, not every ceremony gets our attention, but this one did. This ceremony was something special. That was evident by the words that Dave and Nicole said to each other as they exchanged their carefully thought out vows.  Julia was so moved by what Nicole said to Dave that she asked for a copy of the vows.  Dave and Nicole are such a young couple, but they have such a mature understanding of what it takes to have a strong marriage. They both have such great role models for parents, not to mention a set of grandparents that have been married for 50 years.  It truly is remarkable!

Cathy (mom of the bride) and Nicole paid attention to all the details. All the hard work paid off with a beautiful celebration. Hats off to all the vendors that worked so hard at this event.

Jeff and Julia ~ The photos are just stunning! Of course, the biased mother-of-the-bride would think they are beautiful no matter what:) But really, your artistic eyes for detail, lighting, backgrounds, and camera angles are what make the pictures so amazing. It's very evident the wedding party had a great time with you! We are excited to see all the photos next month! (PS-your intro on the blog is very sweet - you were both great to work with!)
